The Design Office
Plast’Avenir has a Design Office that performs all necessary studies upstream to the production.
For that purpose, the Design Office leans not only on its internal resources (project managers, CAD projector station Catia, project quality engineer…) but also on a panel of subcontractors with specific skills (RDM, rheology, assemblers). The close and permanent collaboration with the production site facilitates the development of equimpents and production methods developed and used to go without loss of time and at lower cost from the first prototypes and pre-series to serial production.
From a simple print on a change mould until all versions of complex moulds and automated recovery means, the Design Office of Plast’avenir capitalized a supplied catalog of industrial successes serving future projects.
The today’s technologies come from some of these yesterday successes, such as the laser cutting of PMMA workpieces with deep black mirror effect.
The Design Office is going to guide the technical choices for the workpieces or the considered function. These choices are going to concern the material, the forms, and will allow the anticipation of any possible evolution.
All this will allow to find the right balance between the function and/or the desired aspect, and the cost of equipments to be realized. Indeed, the mould represents a cost which may vary strongly, in particular according to the shapes and the quality of the workpiece surface.
Thus, the right technical choices from the start will avoid heavy consequences both financial and in the features of the workpiece.
